Thursday 3rd August – Tattoo Tickets £24. 21:00 – 22.30 Accommodation can be found in Edinburgh but is expensive. I recommend leaving Edinburgh after the Tattoo and staying somewhere north of the city to be heading towards Aboyne in preparation for the other events. Friday 4th August – Medieval Banquet £35. 18:30 – 22:00 This includes three courses and mead. People can bring other drinks themselves. Entertainment is included. Saturday 5th August – Aboyne Games – Supper after the games £25. 18:00 – 20:30 Two course meal included. Drinks available to be purchased at the venue. Results of the “Grape and Pillage” competition. Sunday 6th August – Lunch at Delgatie Castle £25. 12:00 – 14:30 Food and wine included and the opportunity to look around Delgatie Castle – our Clan Centre. Visits to Old Slains Castle and New Slains Castle – no charge. Monday 7th August – History of Scotland at Crathes’ Castle. 10:00 – 14:00 No charge unless you wish to look around the castle. Clan Hay talking about all things related to Scottish history – tartan; piping; heraldry; language etc. Tuesday 8th August – Visit to Coupar Angus Abbey 11:00 – 12:00 Here the early Hay Chiefs were buried. The abbey is a ruin but there are Hay tombs in the church. No charge.
