Clan Hay 2025 Gathering (full program)

Lady Melissa Ashcombe, Dorothee Roels, Merlin Hay, Uwe Stabeno

We are delighted to announce our Clan Chief, Merlin, The High Constable of Scotland and Earl of Erroll will be with us for this years gathering at the Aboyne Highland Games, and for our traditional Sunday Lunch at Delgatie Castle.... and (of course) a tour of Old Slains and New Slains Castles.

Join us on Saturday 2nd August at the Aboyne Highland Games, where we will have our own meeting tent in the 'Village of the Clans'. You can pay on the day for entrance to the games, or pre-book at

https://www.ticketebo.co.uk/aboyne-highland-games/aboyne-highland-games-2025

Saturday evening, after the Games, you are invited to a Clan Dinner at the Banchory Lodge Hotel. The food here is amazing and the hotel itself is stunning. We do need to know numbers of those attending, so do please advise us on the booking form at the bottom of this page.
We will meet in the bar at 6.45pm for pre-dinner drinks, and take our tables at 7.00pm.

Address is : Dee St, Banchory AB31 5HS and the website - https://www.banchorylodge.com

On Sunday, you are warmly invited to lunch at Delgatie Castle. This is priced at a very reasonable £27.00 per head.
It is suggested we arrive at 11.30am for a 12.30pm lunch. This gives time to look around the historic rooms in the castle and to see the painted ceilings and other things of interest.

We do need to know numbers, so we can cater for this event, so there is a booking form for the lunch at the bottom of this page.

After lunch, we continue our tradition of visiting Old Slains Castle, where Merlin might be prevailed upon to recount stories of his childhood there.

From there, we move on to New Slains Castle for a Highland Tea - There are many stories that Merlin and Alan will be able to tell you of this place! Again, we need to know numbers for catering for this, so (you've probably guessed already) please use the booking form below.
