Annual Clan Hay lunch to go ahead

Lunch in the Yester Room at Delgatie Castle, the Clan Hay Centre

We are delighted to confirm that Clan Hay's annual lunch party at Delgatie Castle, near Turriff in Aberdeenshire, will proceed as planned on Sunday 2 August.

Covid 19 regulations have now been relaxed sufficiently to enable the lunch to go ahead, although precautionary measures will continue to be observed in line with the Scottish Government's advice.  So tables will be positioned two metres apart, there will be no more than eight people to each table, and face coverings will need to be worn when indoors, although not, obviously, in the dining room itself.  Most importantly, guests will need to leave contact details with the castle to facilitate track and trace procedures in the unlikely event of exposure to the virus.

Unfortunately we will not be able to proceed with the hoped-for private visit to the Turriff and District Heritage Museum, as the museum will not have the necessary requirements for reopening in place by that time.  The museum is hoping to open during the months of September and October and we hope to revisit the idea of a private tour as part of next year's Clan Hay Gathering.
