With just three months to go, we urge all Hays who are thinking about joining this year's Clan Hay Tour to contact the organiser, Pamela Rotheroe-Hay, as soon as possible.
The tour begins on 28th July at the lovely Duns Castle in Berwickshire, and finishes on Saturday 2nd August at Clan Hay's annual gathering at the Aboyne Highland Games in Aberdeenshire. You will be able to visit many of the principal historic sites associated with Clan Hay, several of which are closed to the public, including Neidpath Castle, the Mott of Erroll and Megginch Castle, whilst taking in much of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland along the way.
This is an important event which has secured the support of Visit Scotland, the government agency charged with promoting Scotland as a tourist destination, and will be a rare opportunity to join an informative guided journey through Clan Hay's 1000 year history. Competitively priced at just £480 for the week, the cost includes a three night stay at Duns Castle as guests of Alick and Aline Hay of Duns, during which we will participate in a murder mystery dinner in the castle's historic laigh hall.
