Chief’s granddaughter baptised

The Hon. Persephone Hay, granddaughter of the Earl of Erroll, Chief of Clan Hay, was baptised last summer at Woodbury in Bedfordshire, the historic seat of her late grandmother's family.  It was, of necessity in light of the Covid restrictions, a quiet affair, attended only by her immediate family and godparents, celebrated quietly at home at Woodbury Hall.

She was christened Persephone Idina Isabelle, her middle names a tribute to her grandmother, the Countess of Erroll, who sadly died shortly before her birth, and her great, great grandmother, Idina Countess of Erroll, wife of the 22nd earl and originally Lady Idina Sackville.

Persephone is a first child for the chief's son and heir, Harry, Lord Hay, and his wife Clemmie.  She is currently second in line of succession to the earldom and the chiefship, following her father.
