Clan Hay Gathering 2020 – an update

Winter at Delgatie

With only four weeks to go 'til Clan Hay's usual annual gathering weekend, we are still hopeful of offering a limited range of activities on Sunday 2 August.

The gradual easing of Coronavirus restrictions mean we hope to be able to hold our annual lunch at Delgatie Castle, the Clan Hay Centre near the Aberdeenshire town of Turriff.  However, we will not be able to confirm these plans until 25 July, so please be sure to consult this site, Twitter (@clanhaysociety) or the Clan Hay Society Facebook page around that date if you plan to attend.

We also hope to offer a private visit on that morning to the Turriff and District Heritage Museum.  Once again this is subject to confirmation with the museum's trustees and will depend on the Covid regulations in force at that time.  Following the lunch party, the plan is to move on to the Aberdeenshire coast for tours of the old and new castles of Slains.

If you would like to attend some or all of the above, and in particular if you plan to come to Delgatie Castle for lunch, please register your interest by emailing Jane MacRae on macrae_jane29@yahoo.com, as soon as possible.
